The Yorkshire Dales

The Three Peaks, Malham and Wharfedale

The Three Peaks stand along the western side, Whernside and Ingleborough on either side of Ribblehead and Pen-y-ghent further east above the Ribble. East of Settle the limestone opens out at Malham Cove, and Wharfedale runs down from Buckden past Kettlewell, Kilnsey Crag and Grassington to Burnsall.
